Under the direction of Dr. Otis French, director of bands, the University of Mount Union band will present its annual Christmas concert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2 at the West Branch High School Auditorium.

The University of Mount Union Jazz Band, under the direction of Jeff Neitzke, will present a concert at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 13 in the B&B Caf? located in the Hoover-Price Campus Center.

Students were recently named to Bob Jones University's Collegiate Choir.

Ohio Wesleyan University held its 170th commencement ceremony May 11. The Ohio Wesleyan Class of 2014 included 390 spring, summer, and fall graduates, with 65 cum laude, 33 magna cum laude, and 20 summa cum laude honorees. The distinctive dance production at Baldwin Wallace University, dubbed "fyoo zh en '14: new music & dance" will feature a "fusion" (fyoo zh en) of completely original movement and music March 20-23. The annual event pairs ten student choreographers with ten student composers, and features more than 30 BW student dancers.

Incoming members of the freshman class at Bob Jones University participated in summer orientation June 21-22. Students and their parents attended informational sessions about the BJU experience, asked questions regarding academics, financial aid and student life and became familiar with the campus. Students were also able to receive academic and career counsel from faculty and register for their fall classes.

Bob Jones University recently announced the latest recipients of the BJU Academic Excellence and Leadership Award. The Academic Excellence and Leadership Award recognizes student leaders who achieve an ACT score above 25 before entering college and maintain a 3.2 GPA during their college years. The award provides up to $1,500 per year, for a maximum of $6,000 over eight semesters.
